At the March 8th Board meeting, the Board of Directors elected Janelle Johnson as the next principal of Lincoln Academy! We will be having a meet and greet at the school on April 13th to give everyone an opportunity to meet her and hear some of her plans for the coming years. Thank you to all of the families that completed the parent satisfaction survey. The Board will use this information to help us continue to improve our school.
The Facilities Committee’s next meeting is March 23rd at 3:30 PM. We are continuing to investigate and finalize a proposal for replacement of the gym floor. We will also discuss looking into possible grants or sponsorships to help pay for the much needed repairs.

In this LA Board Corner, we are going to introduce a new section. This section will answer questions that you may have about the Board or about some of the decisions the Board makes. Question: What employees report to the board?
Answer: The Board only has one employee and that is the principal. It is the job of the Board to hire, direct and evaluate the principal every year. The Board, though, is only allowed to direct the principal as a unified body and not as seven separate voices. The Board does not evaluate any other staff.
